DESCRIPTION:The UNESCO World Heritage site of Jelling was the focal point f
 or large and radical changes in Danish society during the Viking Era. The 
 two famous runestones of Jelling tell the story of the unification of Denm
 ark and the intent for cultural integration with the rest of Europe. It is
  the story of the beginning of a dynasty and the conversion to Christianit
 y. Jelling tells of these events\, not only with runestones\, but also wit
 h monuments so large that they could compete on an international scale. Cu
 rator Adam Bak from the Danish National Museum tells the story of how the 
 North and Europe collide in Jelling and how the changes in 10th century De
 nmark had continental repercussions.\nDer Vortrag findet im Rahmen der Win
